President’s Message – February 2014

As we settle into the new year, we at NHCRA are working to help meet the continuing needs of our membership and our growing profession.

Our Legislative Committee is busy keeping our membership informed of legislative updates and changes in the court mediation programs through our website. Check our website regularly to stay informed.

“Brown bag” lunches hosted by the Communications Committee at various courthouses throughout the state are helping to keep our membership connected with court personnel and other mediators working in the court system. This is good time to bring up ideas and get answers to questions about changes and opportunities to better serve the public through dispute resolution.

Two much needed workshops on domestic violence and legal updates are scheduled for March 6, 2014. The Education Committee is currently working on plans for our Annual Meeting. Save the date on June 6, 2014 for a full day of workshops and a chance to connect and catch up with colleagues and friends at our annual luncheon.

All information on upcoming events are posted on our Calendar. Let us know of any other events being held. We post any event that may be of interest to those working in the field of dispute resolution.

The Board of NHCRA continues to add membership benefits. Members receive discounts at all NHCRA workshops and functions. All Members of NHCRA are able to promote their businesses through our website by posting personal profiles to assist the general public in not only determining the best means of dispute resolution for them, but also the mediator best suited to meet their needs.

As always, the Board of NHCRA is looking for ideas and suggestions to better serve our membership and promote dispute resolution throughout the state. Contact any of our Board members or Committee Chairs with your thoughts and concerns.

We at NHCRA look forward to continuing to serve our membership and the public in 2014.
