During the morning session Marianne Rousseau, Esq. and Marjorie Kerouac, Esq. will present Updates in Family Law for 2012. They will discuss cases that were issued by the N.H. Supreme Court from March 16, 2011 to the present date. In addition, the new RSA 193:12, II(a)(2) affecting school Attendance and Legal Residence will be discussed.

The afternoon session will address Domestic Violence and Parenting Plans with presenters John Cameron, Esq. and Karen McCall.

This workshop will be helpful for anyone working to promote the best interests of children when intimate partner violence is identified. It’s designed to foster awareness of the inherent challenges faced by adult victims and their children today, as a result of the co-parenting expectation. Tools for preparing parenting plans will be provided. The workshop will also emphasize the critical need for domestic violence screening prior to commencing a family law mediation and offer some screening tools and techniques for the mediator.
